As described in the syllabus, blog posts are part of your class participation grade. At minimum, we'd like you to post twice this semester (see sign-ups below). You should also comment at least twice on other students' posts.
Posts should take the form of short responses to assigned readings or objects (like a photography collection). Posts should be only two to three paragraphs long. They should be critical, engaged, specific, well-written, and insightful. Posts that seem too hastily composed, insubstantial, or do not adequately address the reading will not receive full credit.
Comments need not be as long, but they should address something you found interesting or controversial in another person's analysis.
If you are signed up for a so-called "synthesis week," you are free to address any reading or combination of readings from previous weeks. All we ask is that you attempt to make connections between different subtopics (e.g. finding parallels, echoes of an earlier writer's style, resonances, conflicts, etc.).
Post any time during a week on that week's materials to receive credit, though if you post before class we would love to use your comments to help fuel our in-class discussion.
Week 1:
1. Jordan Willis
2. Emil Mottola
3. Jonah Schreiber
4. Regina To
5. Alysha Jivani
Week 2:
